The rare game WELFARE dates from 1978 by Jedco of Omaha NE. This game has been called "a satirical slam on the welfare society of its time". The game was banned and taken off the market and then it was replaced by a game called Public Assistance that was also banned.
This game offered here is in excellent condition, even the punch-out circles needed in the game were never used. All the parts are in the box, including the instructions. There are a couple of small scuff marks on the box edge, otherwise the whole game is in amazing shape.
To give an example of the game, a card reads, "Sorry, the Welfare Office has discovered that your blind, dependent grandfather has been dead for seventeen years. Forfeit $430". A truck on the box is called, "Vulture Finance Company".
