Rare Two/Three Seater School Desk & Bench, Circa 1915

Circa 1915, this 2-seater, two room school desk, resided in the Hillside Avenue School in Branford, CT until 1928. The desk initially consisted of 2 holes for inkwells and a third was added to accommodate the overflow of immigrants to make it a 3-seater. In 1993, the building was torn down. Two bricks from the site are included. The bricks with the desk were found in the rubble after the building was destroyed.
