Please note- this clock is often reproduced [95% are fakes ], but this is a RARE original example.
Late 1800s BRADLEY and HUBBARD cast iron 'blinking' Sambo Jazz player clock, with good, untouched original paint. He stands 15 1/2" in height, so not a small clock. Tight joints and the hat is present [often missing]. Cast iron case, so has good weight. As with the good ones, period-correct flathead screws throughout, and all are present. As shown, the clock face is missing the hands and crystal, and is not attached to the movement [would need repair]. The movement, though, is in GOOD WORKING ORDER, and when wound it runs well and the eyes blink as they should. The dial would need to be reset for the clock to be fully functional. It has the original E. N. WELCH movement [B&H often used this CT clockmaker for the movements]. Has a diminutive loss to the back of one foot [last photo], which is not visible when displayed. Great opportunity to own one of the few real ones!
Notes: Please read description for condition report. movement operational
