Some scratching to wood top, but overall very good vintage condition.
Cross banded poplar top over a bamboo frame wrapped with reed, finished all around along with a drawer on one side. Highest quality with a dynamic casual, elegant form. Branded Donghia at the bottom. John Hutton for Donghia, Merbau collection.
A fabulous piece from the limited Merbau collection designed by John Hutton (1947-2006) for Donghia. Examples from this particular period are nearly impossible to find for sale. Mr. Hutton was the firm design director from 1978-1998 and was responsible for many of the now iconic Donghia designs produced during that period.
