Item Description

Signed and inscribed by graphic design artist, Peter Good (1942-2023), well known locally for creating the iconic Hartford Whalers logo. From the Chester, CT area, Good gained national recognition of his "Heart Sunrise" design for the USPS's 1994 love series stamp.

In order to promote and share his 1994 USPS LOVE Stamp, Good created watercolor designs as the background to this piece, attached the actual stamp that aligns into and creates a larger mixed-media image. This print is not embossed or numbered, but was a personal gift to current owner's family. Signed by the artist and inscribed to "For Howard & Jil, 1994" on the front. On the back handwritten reads "Dear Howard and Jill, Happy New Year! Peter & Janet." Artwork measures 8" × 10" . Framed with seal of Chester Gallery.
