Original Charcoal Landscape On Hand Laid Paper
At first I thought this was a lithograph, but upon closer scrutiny and with the evidence of the laid paper, I have concluded that it is an original charcoal.
Again I am piecing together a puzzle, but the back of the painted is on wood, with heavy darkening and oxidation. This leads me to believe the landscape was created in the early twentieth century, somewhere between 1900 - 1930.
This piece measures 19 3/8" x 24 3/8" framed, 10 1/2" x 15 1/2 unframed.
The artwork is in excellent condition.
Without and foxing or damage.
There is some discoloration on the matt.
The frame is a black and brown double layered frame. I believe it to be original.
Apologies for all the reflections, this piece is so dark it was hard to photograph.
