Item Description

Using bright clean acrylic colors to show the human creation of perfection in contrast to the dark slate of Earth, this series of illustrations explores each of the twelve Olympian Gods through acrylic paint on slate. The pieces show an exaggerated use of metaphor and symbol to communicate the focus on myth rather than reality. Each character is distinct from the rest – almost caricatures of themselves. These are not meant to be relatable characters, but rather entirely unique in their appearance, personality, and surroundings.
