Museum Worthy CIVIL WAR CAMPAIGN CHEST Of CAPTAIN EDWARD P. NETTLETON- MASS. 31ST VOLUNTEER

A fantastic piece of American History- we are offering the original CIVIL WAR CAMPAIGN CHEST of CAPTAIN EDWARD P. NETTLETON, of the MASSACHUSETTS 31ST VOLUNTEER MILITIA. It is a remarkable example, complete with inserts- domed storage, document holder, interior lift-out tray . . .and even a storage area for bottles of alcohol. On the Exterior-in high relief- is Captain's name on one side, over '31st MASS. Vols'. On the other side are the Captain's initials, 'EPN'. On the escutcheon plate of the original lock is a FEDERAL EAGLE cartouche. This piece is MUSEUM GRADE, and VERY valuable on the open market [worth thousands of dollars, named to a known Captain in the Civil War]. We have placed a low reserve to protect investment, a fraction of what it is worth. Not something that will likely be seen outside of a museum.
