Item Description

A wonderful TRILOBITE fossil, 420 million years old. Among the earliest complex life-forms on the planet, they proliferated the shallow seas of the world during the Devonian Era. This example is originally from Morocco, and was expertly prepared, referred to as a 'Flying' trilobite, because it has also been freed from the matrix on the underside, and seems to float above the stone. The trilobite specimen measures 3.25" in length, not including matrix. A museum grade fossil, complete with no restorations.
