A Japanese Taisho Period Mixed Woods Staircase Chest (Kaidan Dansu) of typical form. The cases fitted with small drawers and side cupboards together with sliding doors over three small base drawers.

A very spacial piece. Estimated fair market value of $3000 for the piece at auction.

Some losses in area. lower step has wood piece loose - very minor. - consistent with age and use.
