Imported Chinese Brass Campaign/Secretary Chest

This oriental piece was a fairly typical type used on portable traveling desks for centuries. The chest opens up into upper sections as you would expect, and it has brass carrying handles to the sides and bracket feet. The full length secretaire features three pigeon holes in the center of the cupboard and three drawers above them. There is one long pull out shelf from the interior. This is a great example of a Chinese campaign chest from the mid to late 19th Century. Imported from Hong Kong.

Condition: Good. Missing left bottom plank. Easy replacement. See pics.
