MCM Junghans Trivox Silentic Light Green & Brass Alarm Clock - Overwound. 1950s.

Beautiful 1950's Junghans Trivox alarm clock made in Germany- it screams of the period- with reflective clock arms. Sadly previous estate owners have overwound the springs. When I wound the one that would wind the second hand worked on/ off for less than a few minutes and then stopped. Yes it does have all FOUR HANDS- I just noticed that I took some of the photos when the hour and minute hands were on top of each other! ( You can see the 2 hands in photo #1, 2 and 5). It would be wonderful to have it cleaned and repaired to retain the piece of history it represents and for the unique three sounds that Junghans Trivox clocks make: The trivox alarm works in three stages, when the alarm starts to go there is a cam that controls how close to the bell the alarm hammer hits, so for the first part the clock will make a clicking noise, after a while it will start to ping, then it will do very short rings, and finally the alarm justs goes flat out until it runs down, the idea is the clicking and pinging will wake you before it the alarm goes off fully. The clock also has the silent tic, it is not totally quiet but it is quieter than most alarms made then.
