We photographed this rather large painting next to a standard porch rocker just to provide a sense of scale, this is a huge painting, over 8 feet long x 3 feet high! Perfect for a Church reception hall, Sunday School, or any large space where you are looking for a powerful image. Shedding his crown of thorns and the bondage the crown represents, with his disciples to the right paying homage, others walking off into the mists, this work is exceptionally well done with vivid detail any moment you expect those eyes to open, but completely unsigned as far as we can tell. The framing infers that it is possibly out of south Florida, you wouldn't go far to have a painting this big framed for fear of damage, so this may narrow the region of origin down. A more modernistic image of Jesus compared to the traditional image. Painting is well framed, tightly stretched on its frame no sags or droops, a real oil on canvas and quite impressive in size. Nice frame choice accents the painting itself, a real keeper and its size will make it the point of focus in any room.
