Item Description

A wonderful and well preserved early hanging lantern. The top and bottom are made of brass and have a beautiful pierced design. The sides are some sort of treated paper. Inside the base is a holder for a candle. At the top is a hinged handle with a hook to hang it. The condition is unbelievably good for such a delicate piece. Fully extended it measures about 12" to the top of the hook. It's 6" in diameter.
