Sibilla was designed by Crepax & Zanon in 2000 to create beautiful dancing light in your space. The unique texture is created during the glassblowing session when the Maestro dips the hot glass into water, which causes it to shrink rapidly. This causes a dense network of cracks to form on the surface. Immediately after, the Maestro gently warms the glass again to maintain the new pattern and ensure the structural integrity of the glass. This traditional technique is called Craquelé or ghiaccio, and the result is a unique ripple pattern that is left frozen in the glass—creating a play of shadow and light on your walls
