The J Namnoun Rug Gallery opened in Hartford, CT, more than 35 years ago. Joseph Namnoun placed a strong emphasis on the education of his clients. There is no deception, inflated valuations, or false discounts. Over the years, he taught classes and seminars, curated exhibits, and worked as an expert appraiser in the field of Oriental Rugs.
In 1992, Joe Namnoun partnered with Marianne Donahue, a Professional Interior Designer and member of ASID. Their combined backgrounds of art, design, and antiquities put the J Namnoun Rug Gallery in the special category of Boutique Dealer.

In 1996, Andrew Jean and Greg Lee came on board learning from Joe and Marianne, implementing their styles. While learning about the cleaning and repair side of the business, Andrew and Greg developed their knowledge of new rugs and antiques.

Today, Andrew and Greg work diligently with all the customers, designers, insurance companies, museums. With the rug market constantly changing, they are always adapting their inventory to meet the needs of their clients. In 2017, Andrew and Greg proudly took over the business they helped build with Joe and Marianne.
