Item Description

This large War Work Campaign poster is a great piece of history. Issued by Rogers & Company out of Chicago and New York, it’s in great shape and showcases a part of our at home war effort. The United War Work Campaign was started when President Woodrow Wilson suggested uniting the separate American relief organizations to raise funds for providing entertainment for American troops abroad in World War 1. With a goal of raising $170,500,000 during the week of November 11, 1918,
this was the biggest drive for funds ever attempted at the time.
Non-governmental organizations participated in this campaign -to name a few: the YMCA, Salvation Army, YWCA, American Library Assoc, and others.
The hardboard under the poster measures 29” tall by 21”. Please see the photos for any small or rips (bottom left corner). Feel free reaching out with any questions, comments, or concerns and thanks for your time and business! As always we’d like you to feel comfortable enough to leave a positive review and if you don’t feel like we’ve deserved one please let us know in person what we can do to help, no harm or feelings hurt. We are here to help you smoothly acquire any product!
