Item Description

This mid 20th century oil painting is by Joseph Koutachy (Born 1907). He lived and was active in France and formerly in Yugoslavia. He is known for Posters, figure and genre paintings.
This lovely scene of trees has a small figure wearing a red hat. The artist did a number of paintings with this little dash of red.
The painting is in very good condition and very well framed. The frame has some losses on the gesso and gilding. We do know someone who could fix this at reasonable cost.
The frame measures 16" high by 14 1/4" wide. The image is 10 1/4" by 8 1/4".
