HUGE Vintage BRUNO CASTELLANI SOLID STERLING SILVER RELIEF PLAQUE-village With Waterways- Cost Over $1000-

This is the largest and finest example of Italian artist/silversmith BRUNO CASTELLANI I could find, measuring an impressive 24" across, by 15" in height in frame. It is wonderfully framed and composed, with beading and mahogany inlay, as well as cloth outer matting. It is in immaculate condition. The plaque is SOLID STERLING SILVER, and by itself measures 14" across, with lots of heft and SILVER WEIGHT. It is fully hallmarked and artist signed. Titled 'Paessagio' [translates to 'landscape' in English]. It is a high relief masterpiece, centering upon a castle nestled between 2 waterways, stone bridges connecting it with the rest of the village. CASTELLANI silver jewelry and reliefs command top dollar, and this is the finest example of his plaques I could find. Originally sold for 4-figures [original owner payed well over $1000- for it].
