Item Description

Hudson Bay Trading Company Brass Kettle - Fur Traders
Five Gallons. Marked on the inside " HB Co." Rolled rim with hand forged iron bail and ears. Ears are attached with two copper rivets. This kettle has acquired a 4" split in the side (see photo #7) and then two crack lines - an 8" and a 3" on one of the sides (see photo #9 please). If you want to have it soldered to plug the leak that will be nice or just leave it as is and use this piece of early American history for logs next to your fireplace or magazines and newspapers. Dimensions: 17 1/2" diameter x 12" tall plus another 9" of the handle height.
