HEREND Hungarian Porcelain Kingfisher Figure

Measuring: 5" tall, from base to tip of beak x 5 1/2" long, from tip of tail to end of beak. Salmon colored breast as well as around eyes, top of head an ocean blue, going down the neck where it turns into a green color. Back to blue on the back, merging into dark green at the tail. Lots of changes in color so please view all pics on this little gem. The base, a green/gray with a stump in light brown, the bird is perched on this. The fish that is caught in the deep brown beak is following the same colors as the bird.

Clearly marked on bottom with the "Herend of Hungary" hallmark in blue. this item is hand painted porcelain, smooth as silk. Hailing from the 1950's, you won't find a flaw...period.

This is a fantastic find, absolutely beautiful.
