This is a 19th-century engraving by D. Haiz based on a portrait by Joseph Stieler, depicting Maria Nikolaievna, Herzogin von Leuchtenberg (1819–1876). The artwork features multiple detailed studies of Maria in elegant attire, showcasing her from various angles. It is set in a gilded wooden frame with a black mat, adding a refined presentation to this historical piece.
Notes: The engraving itself is in very good condition with minimal signs of age-related wear. The frame has minor scratches and patina consistent with its age, and the backing shows significant wear, including wrinkles and small tears in the paper. Hanging hardware is intact, but the overall condition of the back suggests it may benefit from restoration.
Consistent with age and use.
