Four historic editions of Ebony Magazine dating from 1965, 1968, 1970 and 1986 each featuring cover stories about the Civil Rights movement. The 1965 issue commemorates the 50,000 strong civil rights march on Montgomery, Alabama led by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The 1968 and 1970 issues both feature cover stories on Coretta Scott King after her husband's assassination. The 1986 edition focuses on Dr. King's legacy the year Martin Luther King Day was first observed as a federal holiday. Absolutely priceless grouping of ephemera for anyone interested in Civil Rights, Dr. King, Black History, U.S. race relations, urban studies, sociology or cultural studies.
Notes: The 1968 issue has a tear through the spine - shown in photos.
