A crisp ancient coin, with the emperor facing right, spiked crown on head. Posthumas was best known for crushing the Gaul uprising, circa 260 A.D. He is also the 1st of the Gallic Emperors. It is in a very fine state of preservation, especially in consideration of being 1750+ years old. All of the details on both front and verso are sharp, and it is a well-centered striking [Roman coins from this era were struck with a large hammer, so are often off-centered, missing elements]. Composed of SILVER.
