Graced with two outstanding guitarists and a deeply soulful vocalist, this MA based fivesome rocked hard. There’s acid rock, rural rock and melodic hard rock. They bring in a harmonica on a few tracks as well, which touches on the rural vibe. The album opens with the atmospheric ‘House On The Corner’, which prods along at a mid-pace and this is where you start to hear the killer guitar interplay on offer. ‘Mine Eyes Have Seen’ is an acid-tinged hard rock highlight with its loud fuzz guitar and emotive chorus, as well as Side One’s closing ‘Journey’ that brings it again on the acid guitar work. The booming ‘Country Girl’ drives hard with an opening killer guitar riff, then breaks into a furious harmonica arrangement and then comes more intense acidic guitar licks – a huge song. An accomplished band who should have seen more notoriety with this debut gem.
