Fabulous French Gilt Estate Display & Storage Cabinet

This very large and very special French carved and painted display and storage cabinet special China cabinet is a painted ivory color with carved gilt detailing throughout. This vintage French buffet à deux-corps (which is the name for a French buffet consisting of an upper and lower case, "deux" referencing the two parts) has a top case consisting of a pair of center and side glass doors. Inside storage includes 2 glass shelves otherwise there are no other top or bottom shelves - and easy fix. Below the doors there are four top pull out trays. With interior lighting for evening soirees! The sides are flanked by a pair of slender closed doors at either far side. The lower cabinet has four doors with interior storage. The cabinet top features an elaborately carved gilt acanthus leaf design with four finials accenting each corner. The upper cornice is curved and molded. The doors are nicely carved with curvaceous arched panels. The slender side doors have elongated column style fluting with carved gilt detailing. Beautiful carved and gilt leaf and foliage bouquets further enhance this cabinet throughout. The bottom cabinet doors feature the creative arts symbols of the arts and literature. The overall coloration is a crème with lush gold highlights. Size 9’5” H x 7’5” W x 23 D

Condition overall is very good. If you have the space and want to add a Grand Statement Piece to your home this is your cabinet! It would also function wonderfully for retail display.
