Early 20th Century Spinet Desk

An early-20th century spinet desk, featuring a top that lifts to reveal desk compartments and an extending writing surface, resting on gracefully turned legs. The design was inspired by small colonial pianos which were gutted and converted to desks when their wires wore out. When closed, the desk can be used as a table. This one is in good vintage condition with finish loss, no key, and some sway; would benefit from tightening the legs. Please see pics. Approx. 33" tall, 40" wide, 25" deep with writing surface extended, 19" deep in closed position.
