Item Description

Richard Harding Davis (1864 - 1916) was an American journalist and writer of fiction & drama and is known foremost as an early war correspondent covering the Spanish-American War, the Second Boer War and WW I. He was very handsome too - see photo. He was credited with popularizing the clean shaven look at the time. The books were published in New York by Charles Scribner's Sons in 1919. They are in good condition. Each book measures 7 3/4" by 5 1/4".
