1942 Diary Of A Teenage School Girl (During World War II) I can't get over how many "All American" fun activities she enjoyed in these 7 to 10 days alone!
Excerpts in her words & spelling: " ...We went watching in the roller rink. Goodnight Diary....This afternoon we went to White Lake to visit Freddy&Lily at Pullman's. I had to sit in Arthur's lap when we came home. We ate salami for supper. ....In the afternoon I played (tennis) teams with Arthur as a partner. We won. Later I sat up in the tree with Natalie and we read our books. ...I woke up it was raining. It rained so after breakfast I played cards with Arthur. Then it stopped so we went into the barn and played Bag of Fun. Arthur had to take some mineral oil. In the afternoon I went roller skating. At night I went to a hotel with some girlfriends and came back at 12:00am. ...This morning I played squash. In the afternoon I went on a hike with Arthur. In the night Arthur and I went to the bowling alley. This morning I practiced piano at Mrs. Nelson's house. This afternoon we all went swimming because it was very hot.... This morning I borrowed Eleanor's bike and I went riding down a side lane and we rode by ourselfs. In the afternoon, Uncle Joe and Aunt Minnie went to the city so Mother took Laurence bathing. I went in the water also. At night I went to the village and had a lot of fun. ....This morning I played jacks........I went on a hike down the rode with my girlfriends . We went down a dirt road. ....So I and her bought 2$ worth of Indian nuts. ....In the morning I went to Eleanor's house to take care of the telephone calls. While we were there, we started our Club. ....This afternoon I started to Mah Jong. At night I went roller skating. They were giving a prize for the one who lasts the longest in the circle. Norman and I were the ones so as a prize they gave me a box of candy!...In the evening we all gathered in the barn for a meeting. After the meeting there was dancing with the boys and they also taught them the two step and the conga. ...I danced the Lindy with Harvey. In the evening I watched them play chess and I learned how by watching. ...We sang a few songs....In the afternoon we made fudge. We made it as a refreshment for the Dance. At night I bought Indian Nuts and Ice Cream with Natalie. Then I took a bath...."

- If there is a buyer ahead of you, or Auction Staff members near you, please keep at least 6 feet in-between each other in accordance with the recommended social distancing guidelines.
- All of our personnel will be wearing the appropriate protection gear at the time of pickup.
• Winning Bidders must bring help if required for large/ heavy items & bring your proper packaging materials (boxes, wrapping paper, furniture blankets, etc) if needed for pickup.
