This is a well-formed tooth, with nominal enamel wear and razor-sharp serration to the tooth edge. It has a fine marbled slate-color, discovered in North Carolina. The MEGALODON [same shark as in the MEG films] was a massive apex predator, growing to lengths exceeding 60 feet [50-60+ tons of shark], which thrived up until a mass extinction around 10 million years ago. It ate ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that swam, from whales to large fish to other sharks. This is a highly collectible example, clean throughout with no feeding damage. measures 4.45" in length, so a good size.
