This is a delightful antique cobbler's bench, also known as a shoemaker's bench. Primitive and well-used, its numerous "imperfections" only add to it's charm. The piece's single drawer with partitions boast dovetailing from a by-gone era. A one-of-a kind rustic conversation piece, it would be equally at home alongside a fireplace or in your rustic man-cave. Happy bidding.
Notes: This piece was used by a shoemaker day-to-day in his trade. It has many scuffs, cracks, splits, chips, dings, areas of discoloration, nail holes. The original leather seat was replaced with a maroon Naugahyde, using brass upholstery tacks that are not pounded in straight or completely.
Consistent with age and use.
