Clifford Eric Martin Hall, RBA, ROI, was a British painter of street scenes and bohemian life. He was born in London in 1904.
In the early 1920s, he began to study at Richmond Art School, then Putney Art School, 1922-1925, and the Royal Academy Schools, 1926-27.
Towards the end of his career, he began to paint women covered almost head to toe and with their faces usually hidden.
His work is in many public collections in Britain, and abroad, including the Imperial War Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum, and Arts Council.
Framed in an unfinished light-toned wood frame.
