Kamil Kubik (1930-2011)
Artist Kamil Kubik was a Czechoslovakian Impressionist painter who worked throughout the 20th and early 21st centuries. Kubik studied and worked around the world, but eventually settled in the United States. There, he focused on painting cityscapes and floral compositions in New York, Washington, D.C., and San Francisco. Kamil Kubik cityscape paintings for sale are highly coveted pieces thanks to Kubik's popularization through magazines, books, and even White House Christmas cards.
Kamil Kubik preferred to paint outdoors, and in addition to cityscapes, he created Impressionist-style paintings of flowers and street scenes with an emphasis on reflecting natural light. Private collectors of artist Kamil Kubik's work have included U.S. presidents and English royalty, and Kubik received prestigious artistic recognition such as the Ellis Island Medal of Honor.
