Item Description

Chinese camphor wood figural carved batchelor's chest. This solid wood three drawer chest features remarkable relief carved illustrations of ships sailing. Inset chinoiserie panels decorate the top, front, and sides and the handles are cleverly relief carved into each dovetailed drawer. Upper portion has removable basket weave tray and original brass lock. Camphor wood is commonly used to detract moths.
Dimensions: 40"W x 22"D x 40 3/4"H
Condition: has several cracks in the wood and general wear. Please view all pictures.
