Item Description

These were owned by my clients mother we believe that they are from the late 1800s / early 1900s…
I believe that they are bronze faced but have no real confirmation of that. I also believe that these are made by Ernest Gimson . The sold comps on similar pairs are between 850 and 1250.00 dollars. Please check pictures for distress these need to be cleaned up but overall condition is fine

Measurements 28 inches tall, medallions are 7 inches wide.
These have been attributed to Ernest Gimson
The design for this pair of English andirons first originated in the late 17th century. The pierced ornamental brass / bronze discs are set one above the other and in contrast to the wrought iron standards. The rear log supports can be adjusted to fit the fire chamber. Depth at base: 21″ Circa Late 19th
