Brass Ship's Clock With Stand

Vintage Salem Ships Bell with original brass surround mounted on a wood base. Gifted to the owner's father in the 1950's, was believed to be antique even then. Made by Salem Clock Company with German clockworks, housing made in USA. Includes original key, this is possibly an 8 day clock. We wound it just a couple of turns and it works, we did not test silent/strike switch. We believe this is antique but can't verify age without taking it apart. Front screws off to access winding mechanism. Some tarnish to the brass but we found no damage and the face looks great, as do the hands. We found these selling online for up to $800!
