Item Description

Beautifully crafted vintage or antique Chinese carp design porcelain bowl featuring fish surrounded by aquatic botanicals against an aqua blue background with a gilt rim. Piece is marked with chop mark in six Chinese characters on the underside indicating the Qing Dynasty Tongzhi period (1861-1875), as well as a triangle shaped mark. The actual age of the piece is unknown, as sometimes the chop or reign mark simply indicates the period that style of porcelain art would have been made in and it is put on more modern pieces. You be the judge and bid accordingly! At any rate it is a beautiful, finely made piece in great condition.
