Murray Laufer formed a fastener distributorship, Columbia Nut and Bolt in 1953, named after his alma mater. The business was a successful one, meeting the fastener needs of the nation's military and he eventually sold it in 1999. Murray was known for creating a chess set out of nuts and bolts which he patented in 1972. Over a period spanning 25 years he sent his chess sets to hundreds of world leaders and media personalities who he felt encouraged the pursuit of world peace. He named his program Moves for Peace.
Not sure who this one went to but it is a very special set. Includes book that contains letters from recipients of this special and rare chess set,
