Item Description

This very unique collection includes:

Two tickets to the May 12, 1937 Coronation of Their Majesties The King and Queen. Piccadilly-Regent Street Section, Issued through Pickfords Travel Services.

Two tickets to the May 22, 1937 Coronation Procession of their Majesties George VI and Queen Elizabeth . One numbered 33, the other 34 from Pickfords Travel Service.

The white clay pipe is marked "coronation pipe" and stamped "made in England"

Paragon China cup with distinctive gold lion handle. Bottom reads "To commemorate the coronation of HM King Edward VII, crowned Westminster Abbey. May 12, 1937. Registered & copyright. Made in England." No chips or cracks. Colors are vibrant.

History Note of Interest: King Edwards's coronation was cancelled as a result of his abdication. The coronation date itself was not abandoned; Edward VIII's brother George VI and sister-in-law Elizabeth were crowned on that date instead.
