This lovely ceramic vase is by Navajo artist, Harrison Tom. The vase is signed on the bottom by the artist. The vase has very detailed etchings on all four sides (see photos).


Harrison Tom is a self taught Navajo Indian artist from the Coyote Clan of Indian Wells, Arizona, located on the Navajo Reservation in Northern Arizona. He started doing art as a teenager, drawing pen and pencil sketches of wildlife and Native American scenery. In 1991, Harrison was inspired by his uncle who taught him the basics of ceramics. What began as a hobby became a full time profession. Harrison continued developing his own contemporary style enjoyed today.
