Item Description

Gary Bukovnik, San Francisco Symphony poster, 1988-89, iris, signed. Up for auction is this rare, hand-signed, out-of-print poster by Gary Bukovnik printed in 1988; measuring 36-3/4 x 20-1/2", 28 by 45 with the double mat and frame. It's based on a watercolor titled "Symphony Iris" and it was published by Bukovnik to commemorate the San Francisco Symphony's 1988-1989 season. All the components of its production were supervised by Bukovnik using the best graphic arts professionals in the Bay Area... Waller Press did the printing, Lloyd Hryciw the photography, Repro-Media the color separations, and William Whitehead the design. The colors are brilliant, the lines sharp and the color proofing was conducted with the artist. Framed. The colors are rich, clean and vibrant. .
