An intriguing piece with partial fragmented page on papyrus with figural and hieroglyphic calligraphic figures mounted and framed.
A note is hand written on the back mounting board which reads "PART OF A COPY OF / 'THE BOOK OF THE DEAD' / MADE FOR TEHUTI NHT / 26TH DYN B.C. 500"
The note which alludes to the Papyrus fragments being ancient cannot be confirmed or denied.
Presented mounted with a blue mat, finished wood frame and glazed with glass.

Frame: 12"h x 13 1/4"w

Condition: The papyrus is fragmented with tears and losses which can be seen in the lot images. Despite the wear, overall the work presents well.
