Item Description

A stunning original antique oil painting by well listed English artist WILLIAM PITT [1853-1890]. It centers upon a farmhouse with attendants, one tending to chickens. Alongside the barn, an overflowing hay cart. In the distance- flanked by trees- is the turret/peak of a church. It is signed and dated 1890 [he passed the same year]. It is a masterful composition. It has a period gilt frame, ornate in its' own right. Condition is very good. 1 tiny pinhole alongside his signature [1/4" . . .quite small], and slight rubbing to the top, where the artwork meets the frame. Otherwise, a wonderful painting. Measures 17 3/4" by 23 1/2". HIS WORKS sell for TOP $$$, but we are opening it for only $1 with NO RESERVE.
