An early original miniature portrait painting, signed by prominent French artist Francois
Boucher. It is a fine composition, in good condition. Circa 1840s/50s. Centers upon a lively recumbent maiden, seated beside a bowl of fruit. likely painted using a single-hair brush, in order to create the wonderful level of detail on a small surface.
