Antique Time & Strike Iron Carriage Clock - MOP Corners - Marked: Patent Applied For

Antique time and strike carriage clock - made of iron with some brass, 1860s-70s I think, pretty Mother of Pearl corners with remnants of gilt flowers and leaves around them. The only mark I can find on it is: ‘ Pat. Apld. For’ on the bottom.

Notes: Some surface wear, cannot tighten up the sides and handle at top - a bit loose, some yellowing on the paper face, some loss of gilt decoration around the MOP, some loss of black paint here and there, key or winding knob is missing, can get it to tick a bit but will need cleaning and restoration to be in running condition again, glass good.

Consistent with age and use.
