Item Description

The "Pritchard-Strong Company" was started in 1905 by Albert R. Pritchard and Alvah Strong. Alvah Strong left in 1911 and the name was changed to "Pritchard Stamping Company." The PRISCO name on this lantern abbreviates both company names. "Pritchard Stamping Company" is believed to have ceased production in 1918, as no trace of their existence could be found in the Rochester, N.Y. directory after this date.
