Item Description

Late 19th century, monumental French oak hunt cupboard with carved crest over cornice top; carved crest depicting two birds; cornice with center carved figural. Upper cabinet fitted with double doors, opening to shelved interior, flanked with columns and open display shelves. Bottom cabinet fitted with two drawers, above double-door cabinet with center carved leaping dog and deer medallions in relief, opening to shelved interior and terminating with molded base rising on bun feet.

PLEASE NOTE: THE CORNICE SHOWN IN PIC. #2 CAN BE ATTACHED TO THE TOP OF THE CABINET AND WILL BE INCLUDED WITH THE SALE. HOWEVER, THE SELLERS CREATED A TABLE BASE WITH THIS PIECE AND APPLIED TWO PIECES OF PLYWOOD TO BOTH THE TOP AND BOTTOM, WHICH CAN EASILY BE REMOVED. THERE IS WEAR TO THE EDGE AND TO THE LION PAW FEET.

Dimensions: 62”W x 24.5”D x 93”H (not including cornice shown in photo #2)
Cornice: 41”W x 17”D x 14.25”H

Condition: small crack in corner of the pane of glass on the right side door (see pic. #16); one of the drawer pulls has to be reattached; general wear consistent with age and use.
