Antique Large & Rare 21"H Wai Ming, Hong Kong (Stamped on Bottom) statue of fine pure white porcelain (blanc de chine) of Kwan Yin or Guanyin 観音 on a detailed base of individually hand crafted lotus leaves and flowers. This 21" Tall goddess of compassion is dressed in long flowing garments and holds a symbolic lotus flower in her left hand. She is the Buddhist deity associated with mercy and compassion. This type of porcelain is produced at Dehua, Fujian Province, China, (Hong Kong). This statue is stunning against a contrasting background or in a well lit shadow box or wall niche, really anywhere you place it, it will look gorgeous. Figure 21" H, 8" W (at widest part of statue), 5.50" D. Excellent Condition, No Chips, Cracks or Scratches. Gorgeous Piece ( Mirror Image of this Statue Available in a separate lot)
