Antique Lane Cedar Chest

Beautiful Art Deco cascading waterfall cedar blanket chest made by Lane. Mid-century vintage. Fabulous decorative veneer outside with solid cedar interior. Includes original floating shelf in great condition. Lock is disabled and there is no key. Does not include contents. Some water marks, scuffs and discoloration to the top surface, does not affect use and may clean or polish out - see photos. Veneer appears to not be affected.

Info from the owner:
My mother bought this as a house warming gift for me in 1978, from an antique furniture dealer. It was our first anniversary and for our first home. She said that this Cedar Chest was a "hope chest" and to be used for linens, etc. I did that, but later, I used it for gift wrap and other stuff. It works perfectly for that, particularly for the really long tubes of wrapping paper.

Consistent with age and use.
