Antique Glass Kerosene Reservoir Pat'd In The USA 1923 From Perfection Stove Co, Cleveland, Ohio
For collectors' antique stove displays & collections - rare to find these in one piece. Yes -it is dirty from near 100 years of storage. The Kerosene Stove was very popular at this time in America and was heavily promoted by John D Rockefeller to boost the sale of Kerosene for his Standard Oil Company.
On the bottom of the glass jug is the maker's mark: " T in an inverted triangle". This was the mark of Turner Brothers Company, Terre Haute, Indiana (c.1910-c.1929). On the top is a spring loaded valve that regulated the connection flow of kerosene to the Stove.
Consistent with age and use.
